Education and Training
Ali Mahalatinia is the principal and founder of the company, and is active in all MEC projects. He holds degrees from San Jose State University and the University of California at Berkeley in the fields of Material Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Structural Engineering.
He is licensed by the State of California as a Civil Engineer. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the International Code Council (ICC), the Structural Engineering Association of Northern California (SEAONC), and several other professional organizations.
He served ten years on the City of Vallejo's Architectural Heritage and Landmarks Commission to preserve Vallejo's historic resources including those of Mare Island during the reuse planning and conversion.
